🧵 Recently we received a donation of a sewing machine that needed some TLC, and Mrs. Wagner wasted no time getting it up and running for our Life Skills class. 🙌Then, earlier this week, we put out a call to our community for more sewing machines in need of a little TLC, and wow, did our community come through! 🌟 Thanks to incredibly generous donors, our middle school students were able to gather up these machines and deliver them to our very own "sewing machine whisperer"! 🤫 Let's keep the sewing magic going! 💖

The Michigan Statistics Poster Competition (MSPC) supports the development of data analysis and communication skills in K-12 students, which are essential in our increasingly data-driven world. Annually, teachers throughout Michigan send hundreds of their students' posters to GVSU (see How to Enter), where they are judged in four grade-level categories: K-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12. We accept posters in three formats: the actual paper poster, a picture file of a poster, or file of a computer-made poster. Winners in each category are awarded state-level prizes and sent to the national competition organized by the American Statistical Association.

Semester 2 is well underway, and the success of our students is the main focus of all teachers and administrators. But we need your support! ✨ Whether it's through personalized learning plans or extra resources, we're committed to ensuring every student has the tools to succeed. Ms. Kevnick recorded this video JUST FOR our Colon families, and it covers what you need to know about iReady. We really ask that you take a few minutes to listen and understand what is available to you at home.

Parents and Families, please check your student(s) grades in PowerSchool as we are preparing to close out the semester. As a reminder, we have tutoring 4 days a week - Monday through Thursday. Those attending are making some big strides and would love to see classmates there to get support and individualized help. If you need help with transportation, let us know. We want to make this an option for all students.
