Families and Parents, please review these transportation reminders for next week. Please be safe: our buses return to the roads on Monday, August 21 with lots of precious cargo. During the first few days of school, bus routes are often running early/late, that is the nature of transportation. Please be patient, be early, and do not worry if there are some delays. In each community, these things work out over the course of the first few days. Any changes to transportation for your child(ren) need to be communicated to the Transportation Coordinator & Department by 2 PM by calling 269-432-3231, ext. 6. Due to driver shortages, the Transportation Office is not currently staffed during route times. You may call either school until 4 PM. If you have emergent needs after 4 PM, call 248-770-5761 if you have an emergency related to transportation.

Parents, Families, and Community, please visit https://tinyurl.com/MagiCommunityUpdate for an update from Superintendent Rachel Kowalski on new safety updates to our buildings and protocols. As a reminder, we also have recorded a video to help with our new building entry procedures. You can view that at https://tinyurl.com/MagiEntry
We are looking forward to seeing all of our students on Monday, August 21st for a full day of school!

All Colon Community Schools students receive a free breakfast and lunch this coming school year. However, we need your help as all families should plan to still complete the Educational Benefits Form at Open House OR online. The online link to complete is https://colon.familyportal.cloud/

Please read the letter from our Superintendent and Food Service Director about the importance of completing the Educational Benefits form The letter can be accessed at https://shorturl.at/bftCG

Happy August to our Colon Junior/Senior High School families. We have important information to share about the upcoming school year that we felt was important to get out a couple of weeks before school starts. We have a different cell phone policy this year. Cell phone use is limited to ONLY passing time between bells and lunch. We realize this may be a change for some students but it is important for our learning environment. Learn more by visiting our Back To School site and clicking on "School Handbooks" (https://www.colonschools.org/o/colon/page/back-to-school-23) or visit https://tinyurl.com/Colon-CHS-Handbook
