🚌❤️ National School Bus Safety Week 🖤🚌
This week we shine a spotlight on one of the most important parts of every school day, getting our students to and from school safely. At Colon Community Schools, safety doesn’t just happen on the bus, it also depends on the cars, trucks, and community members driving around them.
🚸 A few important reminders:
Stop for school buses when red lights are flashing—our children are loading or unloading.
Slow down in school zones and neighborhoods.
Stay alert—children can be unpredictable near bus stops.
To highlight the importance of school bus safety, Superintendent Hilderley will be riding the afternoon routes with our students every day this week. This is a chance to not only see safety in action, but to recognize and celebrate the incredible drivers who get our Magi students where they need to be safely, every single day.
Let’s all do our part to keep our children safe. ❤️🖤 #SchoolBusSafetyWeek #MagiPride

Today we celebrate the heart of education: our teachers. At Colon Community Schools, we know that teaching is so much more than a job, it’s a calling. Teachers shape futures, spark curiosity, encourage dreams, and provide the steady guidance that helps children grow into the best versions of themselves.
Every lesson taught, every kind word spoken, and every bit of extra time given makes a difference in a child’s life. The impact of a teacher goes far beyond the classroom...it lasts a lifetime.
To our incredible Magi teachers: thank you for your dedication, your compassion, and your unwavering commitment to our students. You are heroes in our community, and we are forever grateful.

👩🏫 Jr/Sr High School will continue with the open house style conferences in the gymnasium. Families are welcome to stop in and meet with teachers.
🍎 Elementary School will hold scheduled conferences, which will be arranged through Class Dojo.
We look forward to connecting with our families to support student success!

Today, we recognize and celebrate the incredible custodial team at Colon Community Schools! 💛 Our schools shine brighter because of the hard work, care, and pride they put in every single day.
Please join us in thanking Karla, Heather, Jimmy, Joe, Larry, Mike, and Spencer for all they do to keep our classrooms, hallways, and facilities clean, safe, and welcoming for our students and staff.
